Currently I am with Primmum. No accidents, one minor traffic ticket. Last year my insurance was $625, full coverage. This week I got a renewal notice and my insurance went up to $928.:surprise: That's almost a 50% increase. They said that it was because they had to pay out soo many claims last year the the Government allowed them to increase it that much. They also said I was lucky that I had a small bike because if I had a racing bike it would have doubled. 100% increase.
So who do you insure with in Canada and how much do you pay?

I live in the U.S. and have Geico. I have been with them over 15 years with my car insurance and have had no accidents or tickets. My Geico motorcycle insurance is full coverage (Bike is Financed) with $50 deductible and max medical coverage for driver and passenger. My premium is $216 Dollars a year. I got a lot of discounts. Safe Driver, Experienced Driver, Safety Class & Training, Car Insurance Discount, ABS Brake Discount, Anti Theft Device Discount, etc..

WOW! I am in Alberta and insured with Primmum through the TD Insurance Branch. I am seriously old though and have a clean driving reocrd so maybe that helps. I have a 2008 Nomad and pay $450.00 per year.

Cheers!

TD insurance did the same thing to me 3 years ago when I had a 1100 vstar. It went from $750 to $1025 a year. Ive switched to Allstate since then. the insurance for the vstar was $715 a year with bare bones coverage. last year I traded in the vstar for a 2015 vaquero and with full coverage its $1061 a year. Im 61 and I have been licensed since 16 and been riding since 14 with no accidents, tickets or impaired charges. insurance in ontario is definately more expensive compared to other provinces.

Wow, those prices are insane. I had a 2004 vstar, bought new in 2004, was paying around 400$/yr with axxa insurance, full coverage, $500 deductible
